LONDON: Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned harassing social media users saying harassing those writing in favour of PML-N is attack on freedom of expression.
“ harassing those who are posting their views in support of PML-N in social media is attack on freedom of expression. Protecting freedom of expression is constitutional obligation of the government. Interior ministry should take immediate notice of the situation and bring the responsible to justice ., he said this while reacting to the media reports about harassment of social media users Saturday.
He said that suppressing the opponent political view point is highly condemnable act. Every one has the right to enjoy freedom of expression and differ from the view point of others. I believe in freedom of expression. Harassing PML-N workers for writing in favour of their party is attack on freedom of expression, he added.
