Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that after recruitment of teachers through NTS system, police constables and Patwaries (land record officers) would be recruited through same system to sure complete transparency and merit in the recruitment policy.

The AJK premier said this while talking to various delegations who called on him here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that his government was pursing the policy whereby recruitment on non-gazetted posts in all government departments would be made through NTS. He said that the complaints received during the recruitment of teachers in NTS interviews would be addressed forthwith and efforts would be made accordingly to rectify whatever existing weaknesses in the system. He said that after NTS results the task of holding viva (oral examination) of contesting candidates would be assigned to 3rd party.

Referring to widespread corruption practices in the region he said that in past rates were fixed 3 lacks and 6 lacks for the appointment/selection of junior and senior teachers respectively. To the contrary he said that the incumbent regime, for the first time in the AJK history, had made appointments in education department on the basis of merit thereby introducing NTS system.

He said that the PML-N government was committed to ensure merit at all levels whereby educated youth would be given the opportunity to seek jobs. He said that the government would utilize all available resources to provide basic amenities to the masses. He said that review meetings would be sought on weekly basis to ensure smooth and speedy progress regarding the ongoing development projects in the region. The AJK PM said that the government has also introduced prime minister’s community infrastructure programme whereby a hefty amount of 4 Crore rupee would be spent on development projects in each constituency.
