ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office on Thursday summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P. Singh to register protest over unprovoked ceasefire violations in Phuklian Sector along Working Border yesterday, which resulted in martyrdom of three civilians.

In a statement, the Foreign Office said despite calls for restraint, India has continued to indulge in ceasefire violations.

It said Indian forces have carried out more than seven hundred ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and Working Boundary this year.

The ceasefire violations resulted in martyrdom of thirty-two innocent civilians and injuries to one-hundred and sixteen.

The statement said targeting of civilians is indeed deplorable and contrary to human dignity and international human rights and humanitarian laws.
