MIRPUR (AJK): Ulema and Khateeb in special Jumma prayer sermons across AJK vehemently condemned the systematic genocide and massacre of Rohingya Muslims by Burmese army that has forced thousands of Rohingya Muslims to flee across the border to Bangladesh.
In his sermon at the Central Muslim Mosque at C-1 in Mirpur, veteran religious scholar and Khateeb Mufti Muhammad Rowais Ayubi called upon the Muslim Ummah to play its much needed role to stop the brutal era of state terrorism and violence against the innocent minority Muslim population in Rohangiya, Myanmar.”Where is OIC (Organisation of Islamic Countries) and other international organizations, claiming to be the champions of Human rights the world over”, Moulana Rowais Ayubi questioned and warned that the continued silence of the international community in general and the Islamic world in particular over the genocide of the innocent Rohangiyan Muslims in Myanmar was a great challenge to their credibility and existence.
He called upon the government of Pakistan to immediately summon the Burmese Ambassador in Islamabad to lodge protest over the mass killing of innocent Rohingayan Muslims.Meanwhile in the lake view city of Mipur a large number of people hit the streets to lodge a protest against the mass murder of minority Muslim community by Burma. The protest rally was attended by people hailing from all segments of the society including, business community, lawyers, activists of social political and religious and human rights organizations. The call was given by Jamaat e Islami and other religious and civil society organizations. The participants of the rally raised slogans against the killing of innocent Muslims in Barma as well as in occupied Jammu & Kashmir demanding the United Nations and human rights organisations to immediate intervene to get the genocide of the minority Rohingian Muslims and innocent freedom-loving people in Indian occupied Kashmir stopped instantly.
Addressing rally at Shaheed chowk, speakers including the JI leader Zulqarnain Butt and others called upon the government of Pakistan to immediately launch effective diplomatic efforts to ensure the safety and security of the victimized Rohingian Muslims of Barma. Similar protest rallies were also held in various other cities and towns in AJK to register strong protest against the persecution of Rohingyas.Chanting slogans against the Burmese government, they deplored the violence against Rohingya Muslims and called for an investigation by the international court of justice and the world bodies of human rights into the reported genocide.
Meanwhile, Makazai Anjuman e Tajran (Ittehad Group), local lawyers brought out processions in Mirpur to condemn the massacre of innocent Muslims in Barma. The demonstrating people raised slogans against the killing of innocent Muslims in Barma as well as in occupied Jammu & Kashmir demanding the United Nations and human rights organisations to immediate intervene to get the genocide of the minority Rohingian Muslims and innocent freedom-loving people in Indian occupied Kashmir stopped instantly. Addressing rally at Shaheed chowk, speakers including Chairman Traders Joint Action Committee Ch. Mahmood Mahmood, Chief Organiser Haji Muhammad Ramzan, Secretary General of Ittehad Group.
Sheikh Muhammad Sarwar, Shakoor Mughal of Muslim Conference, Zulqarnain Butt of Jamaat e Islami AJK, Traders leader Bashir Chohan and others called upon the government of Pakistan to immediately manage for grant refuge to the victimised Rohingian Muslims of Barma as they had given refuge to over four million of Afghan refugees. They said being the Islamic state, Pakistan should move for this great gesture through moving for getting the innocent Muslims rid of their mass killing in Barma. They further demanded that the government of Pakistan to immediately end diplomatic relations with the Burmese government.
