Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) The Rawalpindi Division Health Workers have protested outside the District Health office over the non-payment of salaries issue.
During the protest, the protestors had blocked and closed the road for traffic, due to which flow of traffic was affected badly. The protestors have said that they have been directed to do duty in double shift, however, the payments have not yet been made.
Since the health workers announced for boycotting the duties, the anti-dengue and anti-polio drive is likely to be affected badly.
We have been doing overtime, however, the authorities have failed pay for the overtime. The authorities have been taking delaying tactics to stop the payments. Several times we have been demanding for salaries upon which they threat us dismiss us from jobs in response rahterthan making payments.
