Promotion of Indian culture and breaches of National Action Plan have been observed by local cable operators in Capital of AJK. Trainings of Indian Armed forces on different Indian channels and broadcasting of Indian culture with full enthusiasm is continued.
One of the citizen Mudassar told this correspondent,” I often seen Indian content as well as training of their soldiers, is this to fear the masses living in Azad Kashmir?”
Another citizen complaint that local cable operator have their personal business of Wedding hall and they have renovated it like dance floor which we see on their self-proclaimed channels. “They are showing these indian dances and their cultural content to promote their personal business of dance floors and wedding hall by introducing their culture and breaching two nation theory”, another civic citizen added this comment.
The same cable operator have broadcasted many illegal contents before and voilated clauses 5,9 and 11 of National Action Plan.
It has also been observed that the same cable operator have self-proclaimed news channel which does not come under PEMRA or any legal authority jurisdiction. The correspondents of the said channel are assigned to blackmail business enterprises to get marketing business by illegal means.Recently an incident took place at Pearl Continental Hotel Muzaffarabad where the correspondent was assigned to do sting story after the unsuccessful dialogue between hotel administration and the same cable operator to place their cable in hotel premises.
Hotel security officer Majid abbasi told this correspondent that a girl was shooting hotel premises without our permission and we stopped her, However her behaviour was very un ethical and arrogant.While acquiring from her she said that she was making a documentry. The same person told our correspondent that she went to make a story on tourism. Investigation appeared to contradict the girl’s version.
Citizen demanded government and all other law enforcement agencies to take strict action against violation of NAP and introduction of Indian culture to promote private business must be stopped.
