Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, Awami Ittehad Party Chairman and the member of so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Rasheed has expressed his readiness to join All Parties Hurriyat Conference.

According to Kashmir Media Service, while addressing a press conference in Srinagar, today, Er Rasheed said that he had taken the decision to this effect in response to a call made by Syed Ali Gilani to the pro-India parties to join the Hurriyat.

Er. Rasheed said, “It is not time to blame each other but work for resolution of Kashmir dispute and stop New Delhi from its utterances and efforts, it is indulged in changing the dispute nature of J&K. Whatsoever Gilani Sahab has appealed …carries significance and relevance and sincere voices need to respond.”

He added, “During last eight years I have met Gilani Sahab on frequent occasions and offered him support from our side, which he has also endorsed through his statement some three years before.”

Er. Rasheed revealed that he was seeking appointment with Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik and other pro-freedom leaders to discuss the offer with sincerity. Er. Rasheed added he is open to idea of quitting even the Assembly, if Gilani has come with a concrete roadmap to offer to represent Kashmiris in a more compact way. He appealed to Omer Abdullah not to carry out personal attacks on Gilani and others in the larger interest of Kashmiris at this stage.
