Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said that budget-making process would be made inclusive and all-encompassing thereby incorporating valuable suggestions and by soliciting inputs from the elected members of the Kashmir Council.

The AJK president said this addressing an informal meeting of the members of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council in Islamabad on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by Sardar Abdul Khaliq Wasi, Pervaiz Akhtar Awan, Malik Pervaiz, Chaudhry M Sadeeq Batli, Sardar Mukhtar Abassi, whereas acting joint secretary Kashmir Council Akbar Durani, Chief Planning Muhammad Haroon and Deputy Secretary Finace Wiqar Hussain Abassi were present on the occasion. The participants of the meeting discussed in detail the issues relating to the Council’s budget for the next financial year.

Speaking on the occasion president Masood Khan said that the elected members of the Kashmir Council were respectable for the people of both Azad Kashmir and Pakistan. He said that members of the Council as per their prerogative would be provided equal opportunities to play their proactive role. He said that in light of the suggestions made by the members of the council efforts would be made to strengthen and synergize the budget making process.

The members of Kashmir Council on the occasion gave their suggestions with a view to enhance the overall performance of the Council. Responding to the queries put forth by KC members the officials of the Council Secretariat assured them that in light of their valuable suggestions a comprehensive plan would be evolved to prepare a comprehensive budget for the next year.

Speaking on the occasion, Member Kashmir Council Chudhary Muhammad Siddique Butly said that the members of the council should unequivocally condemn the unethical and derogatory language used against an elected prime minister of Azad Kashmir. Backing Butly’s idea the members of the Kashmir council who were present in the meeting said that that the AJK premier was unnecessarily dragged into a controversy. They said that prime minister Raja Farooq Haider had clarified his stance on the issue and made it clear that accession to Pakistan was strongest part of their belief. They said, “Raja Farooq Haider Khan is not just an individual he is the elected prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir”.
