Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) City Police Station Muzaffarabad on Sunday recovered stolen goods of worth Lakhs including mobile phones, cash and other items from a 4-member gang of robbers that was nabbed during various target-oriented operations carried out by the police within the confines of the municipality.

According to details, the police have arrested the gang of robbers comprised of Shahnawa S/o Riaz R/o Tanga Stand, Azmat Ali S/o Gowhar Rehman R/o Jallalabad, Fazil Salahria S/o Akram Salahria R/o Tariqabad and Safeer S/o Ismaeel R/o Manakpian. The Gang according police has been involved in the criminal acts including robbery, theft and burglary in the city during the month of Ramadan.

The City Police claimed to have recovered stolen goods and cash of worth millions of rupees from the gang. A special team of Tahana Police City comprising of ASI Zial ul Islam, ASI Manzar Hussain, Investigation officers M Hafeez, M Azeem, DFC Mujahid Hussain, Amjad Shah, Imran, Faizan Kazmi and Babar have been assigned the task to arrest the gang of burglars, which according to police were using wrenches to break locks of shops to steal valuable items. The Police officials, however, said that further investigation was under way and efforts were made to arrest other gangsters.

The SHO City Police station Rashid Habib and his team was widely hailed by members of Social and Political Organizations as well as representatives of civil society for unearthing the gang.
