Islamabad: A petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) to seek the details of blood money worth Rs 24, 00,000 dollars given to family members of two persons, killed by US Consulate employee Raymond Davis.
Advocate Tariq Asad has filed a petition in IHC pertaining details of blood money given to family members of the deceased in Raymond Davis case.
Former Army Chief Ishfaq Pervaiz Kiyani, Lieutenant General (Retd) Shuja Pasha, Former interior minister Rehman Malik and Secretary Defence have been made respondents in the petition.
The petitioner took the plea, was the blood money paid by Raymond Davis himself or it was paid by US government or any other institution?
The petitioner also alleged that the blood money was paid by Pakistani administration from national treasury.
The petitioner while declaring Raymond Davis as US terrorist said that he shot dead two persons, Fiaz Haider and Faheem Shamshad at Qurtaba Chowk while the driver of a US foreign officer came for Raymond Davis defence also killed a motorcyclist in a road mishap.
The petitioner also alleged that federal government of then and other respondents have recovered the criminal and set him free after paying blood money to the bereaved families illegally.
The petitioner has prayed court to initiate inquiry on the basis of revelations made by Raymond Davis in his book recently come in view and sought all record of this case.
It was also prayed that court should be known that who paid the total expenditures of case and inquiry should be launched against the suspects if anyone found guilty in crime.
