Muzaffarabad:(Parliament Times) Denouncing in strong terms the unprovoked firing and shelling by Indian armed forces in Abasspur and Nakial sector of Azad Kashmir, the AJK president Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan has said that world community must take strong notice to India’s naked aggression of killing innocent civilians and targeting civilian population in villages across the line of control.
The AJK president made theses remarks while addressing a seminar hosted by Kashmir Liberation Cell here on Saturday. The seminar was addressed and attended by Noureen Arif the AJK Minister for Social Welfare, Secretary KLC M Idrees Abbasi, member PSC Akram Suhail, Mushtaq-ul-Islam and others. He said that on the first anniversary of Burhan Muzaffara Wani India on one hand has turned the entire occupied territory into a military garrison while on the other occupation authorities have been targeting civilian population to break the will of Kashmiri people and to weaken the freedom movement.
Terming Hizb Supreme Commander Syed Sallahudin as freedom fighter President Masood Khan said that the US designated him as a “terrorist” at the behest of India. He was of the view that no sane person was ready to accept the Trump administration’s decision regarding the Hizb chief.
He said that occupation authorities have miserably failed to stop Kashmiris from observing martyrdom anniversary of their Hero Burhan Muzaffar Wani. “Today every village, town and city of Jammu and Kashmir was reverberating with the slogans of Bruhan Wani and the Freedom Movement”, Khan said adding that Wani rejected Indian illegal occupation and embraced martyrdom. “Today Burhan Wani is being saluted throughout the world for his supreme sacrifice and indomitable role in the freedom struggle”, he added.

The charismatic freedom fighter he said had given a new direction to the freedom struggle by using social media as an effective tool to spread his message. He said that by offering supreme sacrifice of his precious life Burhan Wani had set alight he candle of freedom. “I, on behalf of the people of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, salute teachers, companions and the parents of Burhan Wani”.
Referring to his recent visit to UK the president said that during his interactions abroad he had made it clear to the British parliamentarians that Kashmiris were not begging for Azadi [Freedom]. “We are offering sacrifices and will not give up until we achieve the cherished goal of freedom”, he said adding that it is now the Kashmiris fifth generation that has been offering sacrifices for the freedom of Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, AJK Minister for Industries and Social Welfare, Muthrama Noreen Arif paid rich tributes to Burhan Muzaffar Wani. She said that India was committing war crimes against Kashmiris. “Killing of unarmed innocent civilians and molestation of women by Indian occupation forces constitute a war crime”, she said adding that international community must step in and stop Indian state terrorism in Kashmir.
