LAHORE: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has filed defamation suit in civil court Lahore against PTI chief Imran Khan.
The defamation suit was filed in civil court Lahore through the counsel Mustafa Ramday wherein it was said Imran Khan should provide evidence in respect of allegations leveled by PTI chief against him. Imran Khan has also leveled false allegations that ruling government had offered him Rs 10 billion bribe for remaining silent on Panama leaks case.
The court has summoned reply from him till July 21.
Earlier CM Punjab had sent a notice to Imran Khan wherein it was stated that the allegation leveled by Imran Khan of any offer of Rs 10 billion bribe was baseless. Imran Khan has defamed him by bringing accusation against him. Imran Khan should tender apology to Shahbaz Sharif on this count and if he does not apologize then he should pay Rs 10 billion as damages. But Imran Khan gave no reply.
