NEW DELHI: Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit has said sooner than later India will have to come to the dialogue table to normalize relations with Pakistan.

In an interview, he said Pakistan wants resolution of all outstanding issues with India through peaceful means including Kashmir issue.

Abdul Basit said Pakistan is not begging India for dialogue, but wants durable peace in the region which is not possible without resuming talks between the two the two countries.

He said lasting peace and stability in South Asia is not possible without resolving the longstanding issue of Kashmir in accordance with UN resolutions and aspiration of the people of the area.
