Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The Air-Conditioning system of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Burn Unit is dysfunctional for the last one week, due to which, the patients are facing several difficulties in peak summer season.

According to media reports, the administration has been facing several difficulties in maintaining the temperature required for over 80 percent patients admitted in the hospital.

A technician on condition of anonymity said that the AC system of PIMS burn unit is very old, hence, it is very difficult to maintain the temperature for patients.

Visitors accompanying several patients said that AC problem is also faced in all the departments including Children, gyne and urology also.

The Hospital Administration said that every possible measures are being taken to address the problem, however, the key problem is faced by patients admitted in the Burn Centre since they needed extra cool temperature after operation.
