Muzaffarabad:(Parliament TimThe President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan has said that in a bid to hide its fiasco in held Kashmir, the Indian troops in a state of tremendous psychological pressure were now venting their frustration out by resorting to unprovoked shelling on the LoC.

The AJK president who visited Chakoti here on Wednesday to take stock of the situation on the LoC said that unprovoked shelling on LoC was a manifestation of Indian Army’s frustration. He observed that the massive civil resistance in occupied Kashmir has perplexed Indian Army and in order to vent out their frustration the occupation forces were now targeting civilian population on the LoC by resorting to huge firing. He said that frustrated and psychologically defeated troops of Indian army can go to any extent. “In utter frustration they [Indian Army] can not hesitate to go for a misadventure”, he said.

Appreciating Pakistani armed forces’ professional preparedness and invincible ability to defend the country’s sovereignty Khan said, “We are proud of our brave army”. He said that thousands of Kashmiri youth and officers were now part of Pakistan Army who he said were ever ready to defend their motherland.

AJK president was given a detailed briefing regarding cross LoC Bus and Truck service on the occasion. The president said that the cross LoC Bus service was good initiative to restore communication links between AJK and IHK besides restoring broken ties among divided families. He, however, maintained that the trade being conducted through Cross LoC truck service has not benefited Kashmiri people. He said that most of the trade items from other side of the LoC were coming from Indian markets. Khan said that very few items were traded from AJK to IHK and the trade balance largely remained in favour of India. He, however, maintained that there was a dire need to make it a balanced trade.

Earlier, the AJK president was accorded a warm welcome when his cavalcade passed through Ghari Dupata, Hatian Balam Chinar and Chakoti.

Meanwhile, the AJK president Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan was given a detailed briefing by Pakistan Army officials on his arrival to Chakoti and apprised him of the prevailing security situation in the region.
