Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Hyder Khan has said that addressing problems of post-90s Kashmiri migrant community was his government’s top priority.

The PM AJK made these remarks while talking to various delegations of Kashmiri migrants who called him here on Tuesday. The PM AJK assured the visiting delegates that government would use its all out resources to address the problems faced by the community. Terming migrant community as part of his body and soul he said instead of hollow rhetoric practical steps were being taken to settle them on permanent basis.

He said that 6% quota has been allocated for the Kashmiri migrants to provide jobs to unemployed youth in government sector. He said that government has also decided to increase the daily subsistence allowance of the migrants who he said were forced to leave their homes and hearths due to Indian oppression.

The refugee delegation comprising of Advocate Aslam, Basharat Noori, Sardar Liaqat Awan, Nishad Butt, Shabir Kashmiri, Hamid Jameel and others. The members of Kashmiri refugee community on the occasion presented a 6-point charter of demand to Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. The Prime Ministers assured the visiting delegates that his government would make all out efforts to fulfill the charter of demand. He said that appropriate steps would be taken to vis-à-vis permanent settlement of homeless migrants, increasing of daily subsistence allowance, granting of land for grave-yard besides providing free education to students of the refugee community in different colleges and universities of Azad Kashmir.
