Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The AJK Minister for Forests Sardar Mir Akbar Khan has appealed to United Nation to implement its Security Council’s resolutions on Kashmir.
Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, he urged the world body to take serious note of human rights violations by Indian troops in Occupied Kashmir. Sardar Mir Akbar Khan said India could not suppress the indigenous Kashmir Liberation movement through the use of brutal force. He said Kashmiris are determined to achieve their fundamental right to self determination at any cost.
The minister said that Kashmir issue figured prominent on the priorities of both AJK and federal government as both the governments under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif are doing their best to project the issue in its real prospective. He highly condemned the arbitrary arrests of Kashmiri leaders, enforcement of draconian laws and blind use of force against the peaceful protesters. Sardar Mir Akbar Khan appealed to the United Nations and international Red Cross to send their fact finding mission to the occupied territory to assess the Human rights violation situation there. He also appealed for establishment of humanitarian corridor to send essential food items to the beseeched population in Kashmir.
