Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says Pakistan will continue to support all initiatives with UK in trade, investment for regional peace and stability.

He said this while talking to Home Secretary of the United Kingdom Amber Rudd who called on him in Islamabad today.

Nawaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to facilitate and support an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace and reconciliation process.

He emphasized the need for enhancing cooperation in trade and investment between Pakistan and United Kingdom.

The UK Home Secretary said that UK will continue extending all possible support and assistance to efforts made for regional peace.

Meanwhile, talking to outgoing Saudi Ambassador Abdullah Marzouq Al-Zahrani in Islamabad, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have always stood by each other in testing times.

He said people of Pakistan deeply value our strong bonds with Saudi Arabia.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy very close relations that are marked by commonalities on all issues of mutual interest at regional and international level.

The Prime Minister appreciated the outgoing ambassador for his efforts and contributions towards further strengthening the existing cordial and brotherly relationship between the two countries.

The Prime Minister conveyed his good wishes for the custodian of the two Holy Mosques Salman Abdulaziz Al Saud as well as for progress and prosperity of the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Ambassador thanked the Prime Minister for the warmth and hospitality extended to him during his stay in Pakistan.
