SWABI : At least ten terrorists were killed while three others managed to escape the scene during an operation in Swabi’s Baja area.
On a tip-off, security forces conducted a raid at a militant compound and killed seven terrorists in exchange of firing however, three others fled the scene while taking advantage of darkness.
Sources told that the operation was conducted on the indication of terrorists that were detained on Tuesday.
Earlier, Pakistan Army captain and a sepoy had embraced martyrdom during exchange of fire with terrorists in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The clash took place when security forces conducted raid on a militant compound during an intelligence-based operation in Malikabad area.
“During exchange of fire Capt Junaid and Sepoy Amjad embraced shahadat,†the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release.
According to ISPR, the compound was surrounded and five terrorists were killed during the operation.
Security has been beefed up after commencement of a countrywide anti-terror operation called Raddul Fasaad (elimination of discord), following a wave of terrorist attacks claimed more than 100 lives in different cities during one week.
