Bhimber: (Parliament Times) AJK Prime Minister AJK Raja Farooq Haider Khan has indicated to induct member Legislative Assembly Col (Retd) Waqar Noor in his cabinet and promised generous development funds for the Barnala area of Azad Kashmir.
Addressing a public gathering here on FridayPrime Minister said that people of Barnala overwhelmingly supported PML- N in last general elections and now it is our turn to return the favour by developing the area and addressing the problems of the people. The Prime Minister said People of Barnala elected Col (Retd) Waqar Noor with heavy mandate and we will not let their votes go in vain. People of Barnala will get justice and the government officials will serve the constituents.
Raja Farooq Haider Khan paid tributes to veteran politician and former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan who during his term as prime minister carried out a lot of development in Bhimber and other areas of Mirpur division. The prime minister assured that demands of MLA Waqar Noor for the development of Barnala would be given due consideration.
Commenting on the recent unprovoked shelling at LoC in Bhimber Sector, he said Indian is targeting civil population of Azad Kashmir to hide its failure in occupied Kashmir. Pakistan army and people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir are fully prepared and determined to respond Indian provocation in befitting manner. He said Pakistani forces will not let People living at LoC face the brutality alone.
Referring to the recent spate terrorism in Pakistan, AJK Prime Minister said enemies of Pakistan and Islam were playing “holi”with the blood of innocent people in Pakistan. . He, on the behalf of people of Azad Kashmir showed solidarity to the 180 million people of Pakistan,for their difficult time of 6 blasts in previous days. He said Kashmiri people are with them(people Pakistan)and enemies of Pakistan will soon be destroyed.
Terming Prime Minister Nawaz shareef as Kashmir friendly, Raja Farooq Haider Khan said federal government is generously providing funds for the rapid development of Azad Kashmir Prime Minister of Pakistan himself monitoring the pace of work on ongoing projects in the state fortnightly. He said development of Industrial zone in Bhimber will not only benefit the this district but the whole State will get its fruits.
The Prime Minister also announced Town Committee, construction of rest house and a Bridge for Barnala. AJK senior minister Ch Tariq Farooq, minister of information Raja musthaq Mushtaq Minhas Col(r) Abdul Ghani, MLA Ch Ismail , Mirza Zafar Husnain advocate also addressed the gathering while AJK minister for Sports Ch Muhammad Saeed,MLA Ch Rukhsar,Ejaz Raza and other nobles of the area were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile prime minister was briefed by secretary industries Raja Amjad Pervez regarding economic zone, to be setup in connection with CPEC at Bhimber. Earlier Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by workers and local leaders of PMLN at Barnala.
