Islamabad:(Parliament |Times) Reacting sharply over the statement of AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, leader of opposition in AJK Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin has said PML- N government is doing nothing for Kashmir cause except paying the lip service.
In a statement here on Tuesday, Chaudhry Yasin said AJK PM is absolutely wrong in accusing the opposition for boycotting the joint sitting of AJK Legislative Assembly and Jammu and Kashmir Council on Kashmir Solidarity Day after government refused to entertain opposition’s demand for development funds. He said opposition neither demanded any kind of funds nor government’s refusal was the reason behind opposition’s decision for boycotting of the session.
He said that PML-N government in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir is on one hand observing Solidarity Day with the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir and on the other it is desperate to have good relations with Prime Minister Modi, whose hands are stained with the blood of Kashmiris. “It is duplicity of the policies and people of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir understand that their actions don’t match with their claims.
The PPP leader said AJK Prime Minister should not deliver lecture to the opposition on Kashmir and added that he represents Pakistan Peoples’ Party which was founded on Kashmir issue and its founder Chairman Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was first leader who taught the depressed nation to start living with great honour.
He said that Bhutto had not only opposed the infamous Tashkent Agreement inked by military dictator Ayub Khan Khan but also raised the slogan to fight a thousand years to liberate Kashmir from Indian subjugation.Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin said that PPP always cooperated with government on the issue of Kashmir but on February 5 this year, it was just a PML-N show to hoodwink the people of Azad and Occupied Kashmir. He said that PML-N government both in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan has no Kashmir policy and people are quite dissatisfied with the government’s ability to handle complex Kashmir issue.
