Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabbir Ahmad Shah has paid tributes to Sajad Ahmad Kenu on his 21st martyrdom anniversary saying “we’re indebted to the sacrifices of our martyrs and committed to take their mission forward”.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said, “Our martyrs sacrificed their lives for the honor of Islam and liberation of Jammu and Kashmir from the forcible occupation of India. These sacrifices are enough to awake the conscience of the world leadership but unfortunately the international community doesn’t pressure India much to resolve the Kashmir issue.” This, he added, has emboldened India and its collaborators to continue playing with the lives of innocent people.

He also paid tributes to 2016 martyrs saying their sacrifices won’t be allowed to go waste. He said those who used to raise hue and cry over such horrible incident themselves spearheaded hundreds of innocent killings this year.

Strongly condemning the unabated human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir by India and its collaborators, he expressed regret that despite increasing political uncertainty in the South Asia, the world community continues to sideline the human issue just for business interests. “We still hope that world leadership takes cognizance of the grave situation in Kashmir,” he added.

Meanwhile, Hurriyet leaders, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Mohammed Iqbal Mir, Mohammed Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi and Ghulan Nabi war in their joint statement condemned the Indian state terrorism in nook and corner of the territory.

They said that the world community should take strict notice against the massive human rights violations by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. They said peaceful protest against such inhuman acts is right of the people of Kashmir, adding that they would continue to raise their voice for their democratic rights including the right to self-determination.

On the other hand, Jammu and Kashmir Islamic Political Party leader Adnan Salafi addressed a public gathering at Badru in Kulgam asked people to beware of anti-Kashmir conspiracies being hatched by India and its local collaborators. Adnan Salafi said that India and its puppets in Kashmir were trying each and every method to suppress the just and genuine struggle of freedom in Kashmir
