Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) A decision has been taken to replace the car registration book with Smart Card registration books across the Punjab including Rawalpindi Region. All the relevant directors have been asked to submit their recommendations in this regard. After the introduction of Smart cards registration books, number plates will be issued to all vehicles in the name of Punjab rather than cities.. According to reliable sources, all the registration books will be withdrawn, while the citizens will be issued smart Card registration books and no additional fee will be charged. All the number plates will be issued with the name of Punjab replacing the names of cities.
