Muzaffarabad:Â (Parliament Times)Â Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan reiterated his resolve to fight corruption and provide transparent governance to the people of Azad Kashmir.
Addressing Cabinet meeting held here on Friday, he said government in the base camp of the freedom struggle cannot afford corruption at government level. Providing better governance and raising the standard of living of the people of liberated area is also requirement for the success of Kashmir freedom movement, PM said and added that development and welfare of the people of Azad Kashmir will remain prime focus of PML government in AJK.
The Cabinet meeting accorded approval of setting minimum wages for unskilled worker at Rs.14 thousand per month  by amending Azad Jammu and Kashmir wages Act 2016 and imposing ban on child labour particularly labouring at bricks by approving amendment in Azad Jammu and Kashmir prohibition of child labour and regulation of labours on brick kilns Act 2016.
The Prime Minister dissolution of controversial Public Service Commission and decision to introduce NTS System in AJK is one of the most important decisions of his government to ensure merit in induction of government employees and Public servants. He said government is also considering amending service rules 2001 and new promotion policy for the public servants.
He said AJK government expecting a breakthrough on unresolved issues of the state with feral government during Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s upcoming visit to AJK.  Cabinet also accorded approval of amendment in Azad penal Code (amendment ) Ordinance 2016,cabinet approved Endowment Fund for martyrs by Indian forces and victims of Indian atrocities.Cabinet also accorded approval of board of governors of Power Development Organisation with Prime Minister will be chairman  while besides members from public sector, two members will be taken from private sector. Members of the cabinet,Chief Secretary and secretaries to the government attended the meeting.
