Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs, Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir has said ‘One Million Postcard Campaign’ launched by Kashmiri journalists is a significant step to expose state terrorism  before the world community.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of the campaign launched by Rawalpindi Islamabad based journalists from Kashmir, the minister assured full support to the campaign and said Pakistan always raised voice for the legitimate demand of Kashmiri people for their right to self determination. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had categorically stated during his address to United Nations General Assembly that Pakistan will not withdraw from its support to Kashmiri peoples struggle for their right to decide their future.

The federal minister said that massive protests in Kashmir with Pakistani flags in the hands of Kashmiri youths is clear message to Indian that it cannot keep Kashmir under its subjugation for long.  He said that Indian atrocities continued since 1989 have killed 100,000 freedom loving people of Kashmir, rendered ten thousands women widowed  and left thousands of children orphan  is a proof that India is committing war crimes in the held valley and wants to crush the peaceful movement of Kashmiri people with guns and bullets.

He called upon the international community and world human rights organizations to take serious notice of rights violation in Kashmir. The Minister expressed his hope that supreme sacrifices offered by valiant people of Jammu and Kashmir would bear fruits and Kashmiris will see the dawn of freedom soon. Others who spoke on the occasion were: Shahzad Rathore, Bashir Usmani, Abid Abbasi, Khalid Gardazi, Usman Tahir, Latif Dar, Babar Anwar, Basharat Siddiqui, Asghar Hayat and others.
