RAWALPINDI: (Parliament Times) Girls and their parents
from Rawalpindi cantt have voiced strong protest against
non launching of degree classes in government Girls Degree
College in Rawalpindi cantt .

Residents of the area said that the construction work on
this Girls college located on railway police station land
was started during Sheikh Rashid Ahmad time when he was
minister.

90 percent construction work is complete on this project
but classes have not been started so far.

A group of citizens said that PML-N government has
suspended construction work and abolished this project.

The citizens have demanded of the government to revive
the project and start degree classes for the girls of the
areas who have to go to colleges located in far flung
areas and this way they have to face the hungry looks of
Suzuki drivers and incur additional expenses against
travelling in public transport.

The citizens have threatened to unleash a series of
protest rallies if their demand is not met.
