RAWALPINDI: (Parliament Times) Girls and their parents from Rawalpindi cantt have voiced strong protest against non launching of degree classes in government Girls Degree College in Rawalpindi cantt . Residents of the area said that the construction work on this Girls college located on railway police station land was started during Sheikh Rashid Ahmad time when he was minister. 90 percent construction work is complete on this project but classes have not been started so far. A group of citizens said that PML-N government has suspended construction work and abolished this project. The citizens have demanded of the government to revive the project and start degree classes for the girls of the areas who have to go to colleges located in far flung areas and this way they have to face the hungry looks of Suzuki drivers and incur additional expenses against travelling in public transport. The citizens have threatened to unleash a series of protest rallies if their demand is not met.
