Islamabad: (Parliament Times)  AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said PML-N government is fully committed to eradicating corruption and holding the corrupts accountable in liberated area.

In his message on International Anti-Corruption Day, he said  the previous government in AJK could not deliver because of corruption but we have strong determination to fight this curse.

“Eradication of corruption from AJK is my mission, I assure all the parents their children would get jobs on merit, we are evolving long term policy to eliminate financial and moral corruption “he said. Raja Farooq Haider said the government is executing projects transparently, on merit and making judicious use of public money.

The prime minister termed the corruption a multi-faceted problem which, he said should be countered on all fronts with sincerity, planning and strict implementation of anti-graft laws with public support to put a halt to this growing menace. The PM said that our country was facing various problems but the scourge of corruption has weakened the basic foundations of the society.

“Corruption is a cancer that undermines the rule of law, destroys values and promotes materialism and lust for money. “he said adding that corruption was antithesis of good governance, undermines democracy, weakens democratic institutions, hampers economic growth and negates the ideals of virtue, justice, responsibility and public service.

Raja Farooq Haider Khan urged the civil society to extend its cooperation in elimination of corruption and other evil practices in the state. He said that Accountability Bureau would be thoroughly reformed to set a precedent for transparent accountability process in the state.
