Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Jamaat-e-Islami has strongly condemned the use of force on mourners who were taking body of 16-year-old Qaiser Sofi for last rites.

The Jamaat-e-Islami in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The PDP led dispensation has given a free hand to its ferocious forces in Kashmir who have unleashed a reign of terror upon unarmed people. This is the worst face of those who once said: Goli se nahi boli se and it is highly deplorable and condemnable.”

It said on one hand the power lusting people are distracting gullible people on education and examination and are trying to conceal their barbarism but what they (PDP-BJP) will say about this tyranny in which their unruly and uncontrollable forces kills the younger generation of Kashmir in a well-planned design and deprived them of right to live.

It urged the world community and international rights bodies to take effective measures for the safety of Kashmiri people who are being deprived of every right including right to live.

It also expressed sympathy with those who have been injured in forces action.

Meanwhile, the Federation Chamber of Industries Kashmir in its statement issued in Srinagar denounced the burning of schools in the Kashmir valley. It said, “The education of our children is most important and nothing can replace education as far as the development of our children is concerned.”

It said a large number of educated Kashmiri youth are excelling in entrepreneurship and government service that has unnerved miscreants in and out of the territory.

“The elements who are burning our schools are the enemies of the Kashmiris and to defeat the enemies the public policing is need of the hour,” it added.
