Lahore:(Parliament Times) Countrywide Kashmir Solidarity day was observed on the call of Jamaat ud Dawa (JuD) and Jammu Kashmir Movement (JKM). Kashmir conferences, public gatherings and rallies were arranged in every nook and cranny of Pakistan including Azad Kashmir. Representatives and leadership of religio-political and Kashmiri organizations spoke to events. Thousands of people from all walks of life joined these events. Participants chanted slogans against Indian state terrorism in Occupied Kashmir and burned Indian flag. InFriday sermons, resolutions were passed against Indian brutality.
In Lahore, big Kashmir caravan was arranged from Choburji to Istanbul Chowk, Mall Road. Students, lawyers, traders, civil society and thousands of people from all walks of life participated. They carried placards and banners containing against the Indian forces cruelty and in favor of Kashmiris. Earlier, Kashmir caravan was arranged from Choburji to Istanbul Chowk.
Addressing to the caravan, Ameer JuD Hafiz Muhammad Saeed urged rulers to raise their voices for freedom of Kashmir instead of doing politics on the issue. He said, “Kashmiris are offering historic sacrifices, no such example is found in the history. Pakistani nation stands with their Kashmiri brethren in this time of extreme tribulation.” He termed Kashmir, not FATF, the real issue of today’s Pakistan.
He advised PM Khaqan Abbasi to learn a lesson from Nawaz Sharif’s anti Kashmir policies. He said, “The exit of Nawaz Sharif was the result of his betrayal to the oppressed Kashmiris’. Nawaz Sharif should seek Allah’s Mercy”, Ameer JuD asserted.
Urging PM to stage a sit-in outside UN office, with his cabinet, he said, “PM should say that sit-in will be continued untill the implementation of UN resolutions over Kashmir. We immediately need to rectify our traditional apathy on this sensitive issue,” Hafiz Saeed emphasized.
He said that India was not showing any seriousness in peace talks. When Kashmiris’ blood was shedding in Shopian, the National Security Advisor of Pakistan was meeting with Indian authorities. The meeting was pricking like a thorn in the hearts of Kashmiris and Pakistani nation. Kashmiris were being killed ruthlessly and on the other hand, Pakistani authorities were begging for friendship. However, a message by Aasiya Andrabi changed the whole scenario,” Ameer JuD claimed.
He welcomed and appreciated the PM’s announcement for Kashmir Solidarity Day and said, “PM’s announcement should not be a lip service only. Pakistanis are ready to render sacrifice of any sort. The people are not like the government which weighs Modi’s annoyance as more costly than that of Kashmiris,” he said.
He said that educated and well aware Pakistan was the guarantee of Kashmir’s freedom. “We would stand with Kashmiris by our God’s commandment of helping the Muslims. We would speak to awaken every Pakistani for Kashmir cause (In Sha Allah). We would create such an environment in the country that government will have no choice but to take bold actions in this regard,” Hafiz Saeed concluded.
