Rawalpindi: Anti-drug Court Rawalpindi has adjourned the hearing of ephedrine case filed against former National Assembly member Hanif Abbasi and 8 others till November 27 on request of suspects Counsel.
Ephedrine case came before special court Rawalpindi Judge Raja Pervaiz Akhtar for hearing on Monday Statements of accused were to be recorded under section 342 of criminal procedure for which questionnaire was provided to suspects already, however written statements could not be filed despite lapse of two hearings within 2 weeks.
During the course of hearing, Hanif Abbasi, owner of Grace Pharma, his brother, Basit Abbasi owner of Wahmas Pharma, cousin and factory manager Siraj Ahmad Abbasi, marketing manager Rana Mohsin Khursheed, production manager Ghazanfar Ali, quality control manager Nasir Khan, and AB pharmaceutical owner Malik Ahmad Bilal, Nazakat Khan, ANF counsel Chaudhry Zahid Mehmood , ANF legal Inspector, Mirza Abdul Rehman, and case investigation officer and prosecutor important witness Imtiaz Hussain Shah appeared before court.
The counsel of suspects prayed court for more time for filing reply.

The court while giving time to counsel till November 29 for filing reply adjourned the hearing without any proceeding.
