ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) Senior Minister AJK for Physical Planning, Housing, Agriculture & Live Stock Chaudhry Tariq Farooq on Thursday called on Sardar Masood Khan, President Azad Kashmir at his office in Islamabad.
Matters of political and administrative significance were discussed in detail. The President and the Senior Minister also discussed the human rights violations taking place in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
The Minister appraised the President of his recent visits to UK, Belgium, France, Italy and Scotland where he highlighted the grave human rights violations by Indian security forces in IOK. The Minister briefed the President about his interaction with parliamentary leaders and diaspora community where he stressed upon them that they should help the people of Kashmir in finding a peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue and put an end to their suffering inflicted on them every day by the Indian occupation forces.
The President stressed that we need to intensify our outreach to the parliamentary members, civil society and the diaspora community, wherein we have to leverage their strengths for the awareness of the human rights violations taking place in Kashmir.
President Masood Khan said that there is a cumulative awareness among the masses and that India cannot resolve the Kashmir dispute by state terrorism being practiced by its occupational forces that are silencing the voices of the innocent and unarmed civilians who are demanding freedom and the right to self-determination.
