RAWALPINDI: (Parliament Times) Son of a former judge of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has died while attempting to escape from the custody of police.
According to media reports, former judge had lodged complaint with the police against his 42 years old son Omar over a family row. Police reached the scene. The police said that it was a family issue therefore, it should be settled at home. But the family members insisted that Omar should be shifted to police station.
Police was bringing Omar to police station. As soon as the vehicle slowed down due to speed breakers at society gates, Omar jumped out of the vehicle and run away. Police chased him but he ascended on the roof of a house and jumped from there. He was shifted to Fouji Foundation hospital in injured condition but he succumbed to injuries.
Police registered the report and handed over the body to the family members of victim.
