Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Non initiation of development work in sector E-12 since the last three decades has caused embarrassment among the allottees.
The plots were allotted to 4000 persons in 1982 and 1700 among these allottees were government employees. Over 1300 government employees have passed away with harbouring the unfulfilled wish for construction of homes. Their families are forced to live in rented homes and they are in pitiable plight as it has now become impossible for widows of deceased employees to pay rent out of meagre family pension.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is now placing focus on sectors 14-C, 15-C and 16-C and no funds have been allocated for development work in sector E-12.
Any thing like development work is not in sight in 6 localities including Darekh Mohri, Bhakkar Mohri, Bhakkar Fateh Bakhsh, Bara Dari, Sri Saral and Golra Sharif.
We are now from next generation of allottees but owning a home still seems to be a distant dream for us as the apathy on part CDA towards launching any development work in this sector has eclipsed our hopes for constructing our homes in our life span, said a group of family members of deceased allottees.
