Someone rightly quoted, “education is the most powerful weapon which can change the world”. With regret, I am stating that decision of education minister Shafaqat Mehmood regarding closure of educational institutions is painful. As we all know that the education system of Pakistan is already sinking into river. However, markets, shopping malls, wedding halls including parks are opened so COVID-19 is not seen there. If five hundred people can be adjust in wedding halls, why not eight students can sit in the class and continue their studies? I am worried that why educational institutions are being closed again and again? Education is the first and foremost element for the development of country, through it we can compete with the developed countries. Otherwise, we will be counted in last number of the international educational list. Moreover, Shafaqat Mehmood is not any educational activist and intellectual, there must be well qualified education minister so that he/she may realize for the loss of education. It is regret for the people of Pakistan that whoever, prime minister has appointed on the different positions are inexperienced, take an example of Fawad chaudhry he is science and technology minister but he does not know the definition of science. Another example we have of sheikh rasheed, he is appointed as interior minister but he does not know about the law, such inexperienced ones lead country to the destruction. In a nut shell, government should take concrete steps on education issue and find another solution.
