INDIAN Army has been callously abusing unarmed Kashmiris since last 7 decades. Army is killing and arresting innocent people including women and children. Kashmir freedom movement has been shifted to 3rd generation. India could not press down freedom movement despite all cruelty. Kashmiris celebrate their Islamic events with Pakistan. They observe Indian national days as black day. Pakistani flag is waved in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK). Martyrs are buried in Pakistani flag.The majority of Kashmiris was Muslims in 1947 and wanted to join Pakistan. The Maharaja Hari Singh (Ruler of Kashmir) decided to join India as India claims and signed the controversial Instrument of Accession on 26 October 1947. India entered its army forcibly in Kashmir. Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah ordered the British Acting Commander-in-Chief General Gracey to attack Kashmir but he refused to do so. Mujahideen (Tribal Warriors) entered into Kashmir. They defeated Indian army in many districts and reached near Srinagar. Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru took the Kashmir issue to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in January 1948.On January 1, 1949, UN enforced both countries to ceasefire. UNSC Resolution 47 adopted on 21st of April 1948 states “The question of the accession of the State of Jammu and Kashmir to India or Pakistan will be decided through a free and impartial plebiscite.†In 1953, the both countries’ governments agreed to appoint a Plebiscite Administrator by the end of April 1954. India is resisting plebiscite efforts till now.Soviet Union took veto the UNSC resolutions on Kashmir in 1962. UN has passed many resolutions on Kashmir but could not implement any of them. On 20 January 1989, Indian army killed 100 unarmed Kashmiri protestors at Gawakadal Bridge. After this incident, freedom movement began which is continued till now. Kashmiri youth carried arms to get the right of self determination. At the end of February 1989, an estimated 400,000 Kashmiris marched in the streets of Srinagar and demanded the plebiscite. Meanwhile, Mass graves were found in 2011. According to Jammu and Kashmir State Human Rights Commission (SHRC), 2,730 bodies dumped into unmarked graves in four out of 14 districts of the state. Thousands of Kashmiris have been forcibly disappeared by Indian forces since 1989. Hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris has been killed or arrested by Indian forces. Thousands of Kashmiri women have been gang raped. Indian forces are carrying out their most severe crackdown 18 to 20 hours in a day. Millions of loss has been incurred to Kashmiri traders due to curfew. Raising more, Kashmir freedom struggle is at peak now a day. Kashmiris have written history of sacrifices and paid their duty. They have proved that they cannot live without Pakistan. Concluding more, Kashmir is the oldest dispute area on UN agenda. It is Kashmiris’ right to take decision whether Kashmir will part of Pakistan and India. UN also gave this right to Kashmiris. As well as, Kashmir is the issue of life and death for Pakistan. All Pakistani rivers come from Kashmir. India is capturing water of Pakistan and making dams. It is the need of the hour that Pakistani rulers and nation support Kashmiris. As well as, Government of Pakistan should avoid taking steps which would harm freedom struggle of Kashmir. May Allah help Kashmiris and succeed them in their aim (Aameen).
