LAHORE: At least 12 people sustained burns in a gas cylinder explosion at a bakery in Ichra area of Lahore.
Reportedly, immediately after the incident, a team of Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to the Services Hospital for medical attention.
Police officers have begun initial investigation into the incident.
Rescue officials have told the media that it was too soon to declare the incident as “a CNG blast”, and the actual reason could only be determined after the required investigation.
Firefighters put out the blaze that engulfed the shop after the blast; however goods worth thousands of rupees were burnt to ashes.
