Rawalpindi: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayaz ul Hasan Chohan has said that we are proud of our culture and under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan Pakistan’s diversified culture would be promoted across the globe. He stated this while addressing the closing ceremony of Annual Lok Mela at Loke Virsa Shakarparian on Sunday. Parliamentarians, high officials, representatives of all Provinces including Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, Executive Director Loke Virsa Shahera Shahid, Director Rawalpindi Arts Council Waqar Ahmed, artists and large number of people attended the ceremony. Provincial Minister said that government is committed to promote culture values and work of our artisans at national and international level besides providing them adequate opportunities to showcase their products and demonstrate professional competence. He said that Punjab Idols would be started in the Province for talent hunt and providing platform to youngsters. Mr. Fayaza ul Hasan Chohan informed that health cards would be issued to artists in the Province for their medical treatment and Rs. 4 lakh can be allocated to each artist for treatment in case of serious illness. The Punjab Minister also said that cultural events would be organized at all Arts Council in the Province. He also awarded cash prizes on excellent performances. Later, Fayaz ul Hasan Chohan visited stalls and admired the work and skills of artists. Executive Director Lok Virsa Shaheera Shahid expressed her gratitude to all participants and those who had actively participated in different activities.
