Lahore, (PR) : Food Minister Punjab Bilal Yasin had a busy day in the field on Sunday. The minister visited Ramadan bazaars, well-known marts, and food factories and reviewed the prices and quality of essential commodities. According to the details, Food Minister Bilal Yasin reviewed the quality and prices of food items in the China Scheme and Sabzazar Ramadan markets and took feedback from the citizens present in the market. Speaking on this occasion, he said that good quality food items at fixed prices are available to citizens in Ramadan bazaars. Bilal Yasin said that by increasing the supply of essential commodities, they were able to bring down the prices, but this is a permanent process that will continue. Minister Food said that the sale of cheap and quality items is being ensured in the Ramadan bazaars across the province. After the Ramadan bazaars, the Food Minister visited leading marts and food factories in Shadman and Gulberg areas where 2 marts were heavily fined for violating laws. Huge quantities of substandard oil and spices were discarded on the spot. On this occasion, Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yasin directed the administration that strict action against the adulteration mafia is necessary and all resources must be utilized for this cause. Bilal Yasin said that action has been taken on the presence of non-standard and expired items in the marts and the administration should ensure that defective, expired, and adulterated items are not sold in the markets. Bilal Yasin said that those who play with the health of those fasting in the holy month do not deserve any relaxation.
