MIRPUR ( AJK) (Parliament Times): President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi gave away *’Presidential Award of Excellence’* to Dr. Zahida Qasim, Head of Pathology Department , Mirpur-AJK Divisional Teeaching Hospital, for her dedicated services in the field of blood transfusion services.
A total of 15 Doctors from across the country including AJK were given the award at a special ceremony held at Governor House in Lahore on Thursday.
Dr. Zahid Qasim was the only one from AJK who has been crowned with the award in acknowledgement of her outstanding services as a seasoned medico, Dr. Qasim told APP here Thursday when contacted by this AJK Correspondent of the news agency.
Dr. Zahid Qasim is the spouse of Shoukat Majeed Mallick, Secretary Information, AJ&K Government (Retd) and daughter in law of (Late) Chief Justice (Retd) Abdul Majeed Mallick, of Azad Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
This is indeed a proud moment for all Kashmiris, observers here say.
