Muhafiz” Premiere highlights the Silent Sacrifices of Pakistan’s Brave Guardians”

Islamabad(Parliament Times): In a riveting cinematic tribute to the unwavering commitment and sacrifices of Pakistan’s police force, the short film “Muhafiz” by Khadim Hussain Chakarani premiered at the auditorium of the Pakistan National Council of the Arts in Islamabad. The 28-minute production, crafted through the collaborative efforts of university students, sheds light on the relentless dedication of police jawans and the challenges they face day and night.

The grand screening, graced by the presence of Inspector General Islamabad Police, Dr. Akbar Khan, showcased the film as a poignant portrayal of the professional journey and personal struggles of those who serve in the police force. Notable dignitaries, Ambassador Commonwealth Club (Pakistan) Tahir Ashraf Mughal, joined the event alongside members of the civil society, Police officers, and various schools of thought.

Khadim Hussain Chakarani, the visionary behind “Muhafiz,” spoke passionately about his motivation to dispel unwarranted criticism against the police. As the director, producer, and lead actor, he emphasized that the film was a labor of love, produced on a personal budget. The production received technical and logistical support from Punjab Police, with university students who completed internships in police offices actively contributing to the film’s creation.

The film offers a compelling glimpse into the professional and personal life difficulties of a dedicated police inspector.

The chief Guest IG Islamabad Police, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, praised the exceptional effort of the young filmmaker and encouraging him to continue his impactful storytelling in future projects.The chief guest highly appreciated the great efforts of young filmmaker Khadim Hussain Chakarani. He also reiterated the commitment that more such films will be made in the future.

Further more, IG Islamabad Police said that whatever the color of the uniform, we see it in ourselves. No matter which province the uniform belongs to, all people are one and the protectors of the country.
