ISLAMABAD : Finance Minister (FM) Ishaq Dar has said some people are fond of the country to go default but it will not happen so.
” Those giving dates for country to default should be ashamed of it. The economy cannot be rectified by switching on or off. Long term policy will have to be pursued for the betterment of country, he said this while talking to media men here Saturday.
He held the national economy is under stress. All the problems cannot be resolved overnight. But we are hoping for betterment. In 2013, first year was difficult for us. Several pledges were not delivered in the past, he remarked.

He went on to say it is our endeavor we will deliver the pledges made with the people because inflation has shifted financial burden to common man.

We are trying that foreign payments are made in time, he underlined.
In fact political instability in Pakistan causes enormous loss, he held. We are facing multiple challenges.

We will work for long term betterment in Pakistan after the budget and steer country out of difficulties, he declared.

We don’t need to worry as we have already introduced the most difficult reforms, he observed.

Time is needed to address the problems, he stated. It was decided that we have to bolster economy no matter if politics suffers, he pointed out.
