QUETTA,  (Parliament Times) : Pakistan Army is the best army in the world, which is recognized by the whole world including the United Nations. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri expressed these views in a newspaper statement
regarding the United Nations Day of Peace observed on May, 29. She said that the country For the sake
of security, the Pakistan Army has always demonstrated its professional technical skills and destroyed
the nefarious intentions of the enemies. Along with protecting its borders and thwarting internal and
external conspiracies, Pakistan forces have also played their full role in establishing world peace. The
Pakistan Army has always played the role of vanguard for peace and the soldiers of the Pakistan Army
have made the name of the Pakistan Army famous by sacrificing their blood. It is definitely a great honor
for the entire Pakistani nation.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri said that Pakistan's journey with the United Nations peacekeeping
mission began in 1960 with the deployment of its first contingent in the United Nations operations in
Congo and this journey continues successfully till date. In the last 6 decades, Pakistan has been the
most prominent and continuous contributor to peace and Pakistan's services in this regard has been
recognized by the whole world.

She said that under the Flag of United Nations, Pakistani forces have performed their best professional
services wherever the army is needed to maintain peace in the world. There were many challenging
missions in the peace missions of the United Nations, which the Pakistan Army has performed well. And
so far, Pakistan has provided the services of near about 200,000 soldiers in various missions of the
United Nations around the world and during these missions, around 200 personnel of the Pakistani
peacekeeping forces were martyred while serving for the promotion of peace.
She further said that on May 29, the United Nations Day of Peace is celebrated in a grand manner all
over the world including Pakistan. On this day, events were organized around the world in which the
role of Pakistan Army for world peace was greatly appreciated and tributes were paid to Pakistani
forces, which is a big honor. Pakistan's peace missions are helping humanity, serving, promoting peace
and stability, and the whole world, including the present Secretary General of the United Nations, has
appreciated Pakistan's role in establishing peace in the world. The UN Secretary General, Antonio
Guterres, also praised Pakistan. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri said that the bravery, undisputed and
professional status of Pakistan's peacekeeping forces has been recognized at all levels and this is a great
matter of pride for the Pakistani nation.
