SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has received positive responses from many G-20 member countries for the letter sent to them regarding their proposed working group meeting in Srinagar hosted by India. Most of the member countries while expressing their concern have written that we are looking into the matter seriously and a few of them have expressed their limitations.

JKLF has welcomed China on announcing her pulling out from proposed G-20 working group meeting hosted by India in Srinagar, the capital city of Indian held Jammu Kashmir.

In a statement issued from party’s central information office, the JKLF chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar, on behalf of people of Jammu Kashmir, today expressed his gratitude to Chinese government on reiterating their official stand that Jammu Kashmir is a disputed State and that hosting of G-20 working group meeting by India in Srinagar is illegal and uncalled for.

While terming the stand taken by China as realistic, pro people and, in accordance with UN charter and UNCIP resolutions on Jammu Kashmir, the spokesman thanked the Chinese government for upholding the rights of the people of Jammu Kashmir.

The spokesman appealed the rest of G20 member countries to follow the suit and help resolve the internationally recognized issue of Jammu Kashmir for the sake of peace and stability in the region and for the sake of resumption of human rights of people of Jammu Kashmir.

Meanwhile, JKLF acting chairman Raja Haqnawaz Khan has reiterated party’s protest strike call from across the ceasefire line of Jammu Kashmir on 22nd and 23rd May against India for hosting G20 working group meeting in disputed State, the statement read. He again appealed people from both sides of ceasefire line to peacefully express their dismay over the inhuman and undemocratic attitude of government of India against the people of Jammu Kashmir who are struggling for freedom of their motherland. He said that it is in the interest of both India and Pakistan to accept the right of self-determination of the people of the State so that they are able to decide about their fate.

JKLF AJK-GB Zone, in continuation of a month long protest programs, held a public gathering at Gajjan Hamrota Tradkhel, in Palandari district of Azad Kashmir to commemorate the 7th death anniversary of the founder and supreme head of JKLF Amanullah Khan Marhoom. The rally was led by AJK-GB Zonal president Sajid Siddiqi, central dy. chief organizer Sardar M. Anwar, member supreme council JKLF Azam Zia, member supreme council Qari Naseer, chairman JKSLF Obaid Shabir, organizer JKSLF Abdul Quddoos and veteran party leader Sawar Khan Saduzai. The leaders while paying tributes to the pride of nation Marhoom Amanullah Khan addressed the gathering and apprised them about the latest situation of freedom struggle and G-20 meeting in IHK.
