WANA: The All Pakistan Football Tournament was inaugurated by Commandant SWS Muhammad Owais Shamim at Scouts Sports Complex in L Wana, Lower South Waziristan.
Along with the inauguration of the Scouts Sports Complex, the All-Pakistan Football Tournament named “Message of Peace” was officially launched.
On the occasion of inauguration, South Waziristan Scouts Force officers, youths, tribal elders and youths associated with sports fields participated in large numbers.
According to the details, Commandant of South Waziristan Scouts in Wana, Lower South Waziristan Muhammad Owais Shamim officially inaugurated the All Pakistan Football Tournament at the Scouts Sports Complex.
Along with Commandant South Waziristan, military officers, youths, tribal elders and youth belonging to sports activities participated in large numbers, this sports competition is a message of peace in Waziristan, 39 teams from across the country will participate in the football tournament arranged at the Scouts Sports Complex, including 25 local and 14 non-local football teams.
The non-local teams include the famous football teams of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Today’s opening match will be played between Pak-Afghan Zhob Football Club and New Atish Football Club DI Khan.
Commandant South Waziristan Scouts Muhammad Owais Shamim says that sports activities are very important for the physical fitness of football-related youth.
South Waziristan Scouts started the tournament at their complex due to lack of sports ground.
Now after the South Waziristan Wana Sports Complex, the youth will play an important role in sports activities, not only the youth of South Waziristan Wana will benefit from the South Waziristan Scouts Complex, but also the sportsmen from all over the country will benefit from it.
Earlier, in the 80s and 90s, Wana used to play for various sports departmental teams of Pakistan in Waziristan.
However, from 1996 to 1999 in Waziristan Wana, players from all over Pakistan used to come and populate these fields of scouts with their sports activities, and the players of the famous teams of Pakistan have shown their skills.
