Islamabad (Parliament Times ): 18th TDCP International Cholistan Desert Rally and Cultural Festival will be held from 6 to 12 February 2023 in Bahawalpur. In this Festival cultural performance, camel race, para-gliding show and dirt bike race will be demostrated. These views were expressed by Managing Director Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab Mohammad Ali Agha Abbas while addressing a press conference in Islamabad along with MD PTDC Rana Aftar Rehman. On this occasion, Norway, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Ambassadors of UAE, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Bahrain, Jordan and other Gulf countries were also present. Mohammad Ali Agha Abbas said that TDCP started the International Desert Rally in 2005 from Cholistan Desert with the objective of introducing South Punjab as a winter tourism destination and promoting motor sports in Pakistan. It wad ekaborated that Cholistan Desert Rally has been organizing successfully since 2005.
This rally has 9 categories of motor sports and bike race is also included in which more than 100 famous drivers participate every year.
