Amaan Bazaz (Jammu and Kashmir) 24, Socio-Political Activist, Youth leader and member of United Nation’s And Re Cross Society India and Kashmir society international Jammu and Kashmir, Played a very important role for Tourism, Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs in J&K.
Amaan Bazaz has spent more than a decade for the cause of peace, prosperity and national unity in Jammu and Kashmir by working towards restructuring, reforming and changing the terror-prone psyche of the people. Amaan Bazaz, Organized various social awareness programs on Save the Girl Child, Drug abuse, gender equality. National Integration Camps, Peace Marches, Seminars, Conferences, Workshops, competitions and cultural-Sports events in various pockets of the State as well as country in collaboration with various agencies during 2016–2021.
In 2019 and 2021, during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic crisis, Amaan Bazaz with the help of his team formed Emergency Kashmir Covid-19 Relief & Response Team in Jammu and Kashmir and has organized more than 350 Relief & Covid-19 Awareness camps and distributed grocery kits, immunity booster kits & hygiene kits to migrants and local needy families of Jammu and Kashmir Born in Rajbagh, in district Srinagar The 24 year year old Activist did his Primary and secondary education from Burn Hall School Srinagar and then joined the Indra Ghandi National University to pursue Master’s In Politics and Public Administration. Kashmir conflict had affected him in a big way since childhood and had made him determined to work towards the Tourism, Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs and the resolution of the Kashmir conflict at all. Since taking over his role as President Amaan Bazaz has revitalized the Tourism Promotional activities and has provided great impetus to the work of sports and Youth affairs Amaan wanted his fellow university students to experience Kashmir without a sense of violence or terrorism, which was quite prevalent in those days.
For this, he decided to join the Students body and was elected as Students Union President in 2016-2018 During his tenure as a President for secondary education, he is credited with introducing a number of reforms (including improvements in curriculum as well as schools infrastructure, increasing enrollment, ensuring teachers attendance and enhancing budget for primary and elementary education Amaan Bazaz revolutionised the whole manner and purpose of student activism which was oriented towards better education & development.
