Islamabad,  (Parliament Times) : Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan while terming Pakistan a blessed country has said no power whatsoever can harm it.

While speaking on a private TV program, the PM said that despite losing power in the center the PTI was still the country’s most popular party. Referring to the recently held municipal elections in Azad Kashmir, the premier said, “By the grace of Allah, PTI wiped out the opposition in local body elections”. He said that the PTI’s landmark victory in bye-elections in Pakistan and the recently held LG polls in the AJK amply demonstrate that the people have great expectations with the PTI in particular its chairman Imran Khan who has the honour to unite the nation.

Referring to the PTI chairman’s leadership charisma, he said, “Like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif, the PTI chairman Imran Khan has a glamorous personality. “IK is the most trusted politician in the country”, he said.Regarding the exchange of hot words with Prime Minister Sharif during a program at Mangla the PM said, “Someone has provoked Shehbaz Sharif against me”. “Being the prime minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif is also my prime minister, wherever and whenever he wants to visit Azad Kashmir, we will give him a warm welcome”, the PM said.On PTI chairman’s decision to dissolve assemblies, the AJK PM said, “I told IK that I won’t take a minute to dissolve the assembly if you say so but he refused”.About the deteriorating relationship between the PTI and establishment, the AJK premier said that amid souring ties between army and the PTI the country has suffered badly. He said that for the larger interests of the country Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Imran Khan and Bilawal Bhutto can be seated at a negotiating table.

“It is in the best interests of the country”, the premier said.In PTI’s diatribe against General (retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa and others, the PM said, “Our people have used foul language against General Bajwa. General Bajwa and General Faiz are our benefactors”.The Prime Minister said “There is no greed in Imran Khan, what should he do with the money after selling the watch? He is an honorable Pakistani”. “There are some people in the party who don’t know who they are working for”, he said.Commenting on the establishment’s role, he said, “Establishment has a role in every country and even in developed countries like America, Russia and China”.The PM said that the WAPDA, Federal Government and Government of Azad Kashmir should sit together and resolve the tariff issues. He said Neelum Jhelum has adversely affected the region’s environment. “The sewage treatment plant which was supposed to be installed by WAPDA was also not installed”, he said.

In response to another question, he said that Imran Khan gave more than seven billion rupees to Azad Kashmir during the reign of Raja Farooq Haider, but Shahbaz Sharif reduced the share of our original fund.He said that the people of Occupied Kashmir had announced to join Pakistan much before the independence of Pakistan. He said that it was quite unfortunate that in seventy-five years, no one has spoken about Occupied Kashmir.“Be it me or someone else, we have not played the role that we should have played, our foreign ministry, our national institutions have also failed.
