Election to take place as per schedule: Nawaz, Zardari
ISLAMABAD: A telephonic contact has taken place between PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari.
According to PML-N sources Nawaz Sharif inquired about Asif Zardari health and expressed his wishes for early recovery of the former president. Asif Zardari thanked Nawaz Sharif.upon it.
Sources said the two leaders exchanged views at length on the overall political situation of the country. They also discussed Imran Khan long march and law and order situation in the country.
The two leaders had similarity of views that protest is right of every political party but no one will be allowed to take law into its hands.
Nawaz Sharif said he had directed Shahbaz Sharif to deal sternly with those found involved in creating chaos and disorder in the country. With what designs Imran Khan wants to mount Islamabad, he cannot be allowed to do so.
Former president said Imran Khan after his ouster from government is persistently attacking the state institutions. If he attacks Islamabad with jathas then he will be dealt with sternly as per law because country cannot afford any instability at present time. Sindh and Balochistan are submerged in flood. Instead of helping the people in flood affected areas, Imran Khan wants to pulls down government.
The two leaders had consensus of view that the general election will take place as per schedule. No pressure whatsoever will be accepted in this regard.
