14 august 1947 the day we all Pakistani know as the independent day ,the day when the first country based on its religion appeared in the world map . we all know that our great leaders like Quaid e azam , Allama Iqbal , Liaquat Ali Khan worked day and night to achieve what we needed but some people may not know is that not only the men at that time were struggling but also our Muslim women were giving their best in the contribution of making Pakistan .The most Honorable name in this list would be miss Fatima Jinnah the sister of our founding father whom we all know as Madar e Milat ( mother of the nation) she was in full support of her brother she was the co founder of the Pakistan women’s association which played an essential role in the settlement of the women migrants in the newly formed country also the first woman to formulate a women’s frame work for the ideology of Pakistan. Another name which is worth mentioning is begum Ra’na liaqat Ali Khan she formed women’s voluntary service and national guard. she was highly educated woman and also served as honorary secretary of liaqat Ali Khantheir was another woman who had not been to school or college but her greatness lies in the fact that had taught her son’s to be willing to sacrifice their lives in the cause of Muslim independence and later encouraged them to accomplish their goal and that lady was bi aman the mother of moulana Mohammed Ali and mawlana shokat Ali , two brothers who devoted their lives to the cause of Muslim. Begum Mohammed Ali was also among the crew of inspiring women who by wearing Burqah not only attended men’s public meetings but was also the first Muslim women to address during gatherings of Muslims her opinions were highly respected by Quaid e azam. At that time, the Muslim women were in strict pardha , they were less educated and less politically aware than the Hindu women but, there were number of brave and selfless women who in spite of being in such restrictions came forward and worked for this noble cause side by side with men they met wives and daughters of the British officers and made them realize that their demand was right. they encouraged their fathers, brothers, husbands ,son’s to not to give up the struggle until their goal was achieved .
